Florence Healthcare Announces Launch of “The Next Phase” Podcast

By The Associated Press

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 18, 2021--

, the largest site and sponsor connectivity platform in clinical research, announces today the launch of a new podcast series, “The Next Phase: Exploring Innovations in Clinical Trials.” Inspired by the industry’s gaps and issues exposed during the Covid-19 crisis, the podcast focuses on the need for sites, sponsors and CROs to leverage technology to support a new, more remote era of clinical research.

The first two episodes of Season One are available for immediate download at or wherever you find podcasts. In each episode, featured industry experts speak to the future of clinical trials and the innovations in science and technology they are experiencing and leading in the field.

“At Florence, we streamline clinical trials through electronic document workflows and remote site access. Our main goal is to make conducting clinical trials easier so that sites can focus on what’s important – the advancement of human health,” said Blake Adams, VP of Marketing at Florence and host of “The Next Phase” podcast. “We are excited that this podcast will allow us to speak with industry leaders who share that goal and learn about their efforts to advance clinical trials for better health outcomes.”

Though new technologies have been introduced in clinical operations in the last decade to reduce costs and increase efficiencies, the Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated the need to accelerate the industry’s transformation timelines for adopting new technologies and approaches. In fact, technology infrastructure estimates for sites, sponsors, and CROs initially projected for 2025 have been pulled up by four years. With “The Next Phase,” Florence aims to explore the challenges the clinical trials industry faces in light of this new environment and the technological solutions that will facilitate success.
