Jackson Co. Sheriff: “prominent” county meth dealer arrested

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Department of Community Supervision have arrested a “prominent” Jackson County drug dealer, according to a social media post.

Shannon Blake Wade, age 45 of Commerce, was arrested on Wednesday and faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV pills (Alprazolam), drugs not in original container, possession of marijuana, and violation of parole.

The post from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office states that upon his arrest, Wade was in possession of a “substantial” amount of methamphetamine, Alprazolam and marijuana. He is currently in the Jackson County Jail.
