Rabun County wreck seriously injures driver

A Clayton man suffered serious injuries after losing control of his vehicle Monday night.

The single-vehicle wreck happened just after 9:45 p.m. on Germany Road at Bradford Road, according to Trooper Ben Cheek of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.

A 2001 Honda CR-V driven by Casey Anders, 53, ran off the road on the right side and struck a tree with its front, Cheek said.

“Due to the extent of Mr. Anders’ injuries, he was life-flighted to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville,” Cheek said. “Mr. Anders was the only occupant in the vehicle during the accident. Charges for Mr. Anders are pending at this time.”
