The second and third positive cases of rabies have been confirmed in Hall County for 2020.
Hall County Government announced Thursday that the first case happened in the 4100 block of Ashford Way in the South Hall area; a rabid raccoon made contact with a dog there.
The second case, officials said in a press release, involved two dogs and a rabid raccoon in the 4700 block of Highland Road in the North Hall area.
Both animals were sent to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur, and tests came back positive on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, on Monday, officials announced that a rabid raccoon had contact with two dogs in the Murrayville area. The incident happened in the 5000 block of Lee Road.
As per protocol, officials will post rabies alert signs in the areas where the rabid raccoons were found.
