Officials with the public health department are continuing to urge people to practice proper hygiene and “social distancing.” They said washing your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds is the best method. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol.
Social distancing means maintaining about six feet of space between individuals.
People who are sick are asked to stay home. People who develops symptoms of COVID-19 should call their physician or nearest urgent care center to discuss their symptoms and develop a plan of action.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, coughing and shortness of breath, though doctors stress those could be symptoms of other illnesses.
