Buford man arrested for terroristic threats in Hall County

A Buford man was arrested Monday night in South Hall County after he allegedly made a verbal threat to kill someone during a dispute.

Dashun Raquell Martin, 22, was charged with terroristic threats and acts, according to Hall County Sheriff's spokesman Derreck Booth, and remains in the Hall County Jail without bond.

Booth said deputies responded to a dispute call around 5:30 to a home in the 4000 block of Peachtree Drive. On the way, they met Martin as he was walking along Whispering Pines.

"As they were speaking with him, they detained him at that point and continued on to the residence," said Booth. "They determined at some point during the late afternoon hours, Mr. Martin had gone to the residence and had actually threatened to kill a man at the residence during an argument."

Booth said a rumor that Martin was reportedly armed with a a machete was "unfounded."

The case remains under investigation.
