Forsyth County man killed in Tuesday morning accident

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Tuesday morning single-vehicle accident near Post Road and Wills Road that resulted in the death of a Forsyth County man.
 
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Forsyth County 911 began received calls about the crash at about 11 a.m. When units with the sheriff’s office and emergency personnel arrived, they found 67-year-old Thomas Shriner unresponsive in a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
 
Shriner died at the scene, according to the release.
 
Based on witness statements and physical evidence at the scene, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office determined the pickup truck was traveling southbound on Post Road near 6905 Post Rd. when the truck crossed into the northbound lane. The vehicle then traveled off the roadway and struck a tree in the wood line.
 
According to the release, the crash is still under investigation.
