A winter weather advisory in effect for many North Georgia mountain counties until 7 o'clock this morning as the coldest temperatures of the season roll into the region.
Driving conditions could be difficult in some spots until the sun comes out, but no reports of issues have been reported so far. But some schools and colleges are switching to online learning for today.
The school systems in both Towns and Union counties will be closed to in-person learning, but instead with have an online learning day for all students.
Also, the Blairsville campus of North Georgia Technical College will have online classes only today. This does not affect students on either of North Georgia Tech's other campuses.
