A Dacula man died in a motorcycle accident Friday night at the intersection of Braselton Highway and Hog Mountain Church Road, according to Gwinnett County Police.
Investigators believe the driver of the motorcycle, 46-year-old John Matthews, was traveling south on Braselton Highway around 6:30 p.m. when he locked his brakes to keep from hitting a car in front of him. Matthews was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
No other vehicles were hit in the accident.
