An Eastanollee man died Monday morning when his motorcycle went out of control in Stephens County.
John Anthony Horvath, 31, died when his black 2006 Suzuki GSR600 motorcycle failed to maintain its lane on Ridgeland Road, said Sgt. 1st Class D.O. Saddler of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Toccoa.
Horvath’s motorcycle traveled off the east shoulder of the roadway and struck a mailbox.
“After impact, the driver was thrown from the bike and came to rest on the shoulder,” Saddler said. “The cycle continued traveling north on the shoulder and came to rest on its side facing north. Mr. Horvath was pronounced deceased on the scene.”
The wreck happened about 7 a.m. Monday on Ridgeland Road off Liberty Hill Road.
