Flowery Branch man facing 26 counts of exploiting children

A Flowery Branch man who was arrested last year in October on charges of sexual exploitation of children now faces additional counts after forensic processing concluded this week.

According to Hall County Sheriff's Spokesman Derreck Booth, 27-year-old Steven Joseph Robertson was originally arrested on October 17, 2019, after deputies executed a search warrant on his home and found multiple electronic devices of which contained sexually explicit images and videos of children.

Booth said as of Monday, Robertson now faces 26 additional counts of sexual exploitation of children following the forensic processing of the electronic devices seized during the execution of the search warrants.

"On Monday, Jan. 7, Investigators completed forensic processing of electronic devices seized during the execution of a search warrant at Steven Joseph Robertson’s home last fall," he said. "They located additional videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct."

Robertson is now charged with a total of 52 counts of sexual exploitation of children as a result of the Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation.
