Banks County officials investigating early-morning shooting

One person suffered apparent non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting in Banks County at 5:16 a.m. Friday.

The shooting stemmed from a possible domestic incident between two male family members at a home on Queen Road, Gillsville, said Banks County Chief Deputy Shawn Wilson.

“We have contact with all parties,” Wilson said. “No one is at large and no one is in custody at this time.”

The investigation is continuing.

No names have been released and Wilson said he anticipates releasing more details later in the day Friday.
