Joint operation results in Franklin County drug arrests

Three people were arrested last week during a local and state operation to combat illegal narcotics in Franklin County.

On Friday, July 19, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office worked together to check addresses where there had been reports of illegal narcotics.

Today, ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman announced the following arrests:

  • Michael Wayne Cole, 58, of Royston, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II narcotic (Oxycontin), and possession of marijuana;
  • Jowina Lynn Dove, 62, of Royston, for possession of methamphetamine; and
  • Christopher John Hill, 42, of Royston, for possession of methamphetamine

All three were booked in at the Franklin County Jail.
