BRAG makes a stop in Gainesville on the way to the coast

Bicycle Ride Across Georgia makes a week long journey traveling from North Georgia to the coast. Gainesville was one stop on the way where riders camped overnight at Lake Lanier Olympic Park. 

Riders made their way to Olympic Park in a three hour block starting at noon, where they were able to stop for showers, relaxation, food and entertainment. 

Cyclists from all walks of life, of all ages and from all over participated in the journey which began June 1.

On Sunday, the first trek of the ride started at Ellijay and ended in Gainesville at Lake Lanier Olympic Park on Clarkes Bridge Road.  

The first trip was roughly a 60 mile ride. On Monday, cyclist will travel another 60 miles as they make their way to Covington.
