Investigators not sure what caused fatal crash near Lawrenceville

A Lawrenceville woman died after crashing a truck in the early morning hours Monday morning.
 
Gwinnett Police Cpl. Michele Pihera said it happened around 3:00a.m. in the southbound lanes of Oak Road near Hutchins Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
 
She said 23-year old Yovana Gonzalez lost control of the maroon 2014 GMC Sierra truck in a curve, left the roadway, and hit a sign and a tree.
 
Emergency crews transported both Gonzalez and her passenger to the hospital.
 
Gonzalez died of her injuries Monday night, according to Pihera.
 
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
