Police search for Oakwood man after alleged assault against roommate

Oakwood Police are looking for a man they say, along with three others, assaulted their roommate on Sunday.

Estevan Perez, 20, of Oakwood, faces robbery by force, aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges, according to an email statement from Oakwood Police Sgt. Todd Templeton.

Templeton said the victim reported that he was in a dispute with four of his roommates at the Audubon Crest Apartments on Lanier Mill Circle and during the dispute, he was beaten, shot with a BB gun multiple times, and that his wallet and cellphone were stolen during the attack.Templeton said the victim attempted to leave the apartment but was stopped and forced to stay in a bedroom all night.

The victim was able to leave the apartment later the next day and Templeton said he went to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Officers met with the victim there and notices "substantial bruising about his person."

Three others are facing charges in the case. Miguel Angel Davila Padilla, 33, faces aggravated assault and battery charges; Victor Yohendy Albelo Rodriguez, 38, faces battery and false imprisonment charges; and Eliborio Guevara, 45, faces aggravated assault, battery and false imprisonment charges. All of the men are from Oakwood. All five of the roommates were placed in the apartment as roommates because they worked for the same staffing agency.

Templeton encouraged anyone who sees Perez, or knows his whereabouts, to contact 911.
