Oakwood man arrested for heroin, marijuana, ecstacy possession

A 28-year-old Oakwood man was arrested Tuesday after heroin, marijuana and ecstasy tablets were found in his car during a traffic stop in Gainesville.

Xaviera Staquez Robinson was pulled over by Gainesville police in the 600 block of Atlanta Highway. Robinson tried to flee on foot but was caught after a short foot chase. Officers also found $1,000, digital scales and packaging materials in his car, according to a news release from the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, which assisted in the investigation.

Robinson was booked into the Hall County Jail and charged with trafficking heroin, possession of MDMA with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and felony possession of marijuana.

The approximate street value of the drugs was $2,750. No further arrests are expected from the investigation.
