The southbound off-ramp on Interstate 985 at Spout Springs Road/Exit 12 will close tonight at 10 p.m. so contractors can begin grinding the driving surface in preparation for repaving.
The closure will remain in effect until 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The southbound on-ramp at Sprout Springs Road will later Tuesday, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The grinding project spans the 24 miles from I-985 at the I-85 Interchange in Gwinnett County to north of Ga. 369 in Hall County. This project will also replace the pavement markings and add raised pavement markers, or reflectors to the interstate.
Diamond Surfaces Inc. is the contractor for the project, which has a completion date of August 31.
