GBI: Fatal Lumpkin County shooting blamed on domestic disturbance

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Monday, a fatal shooting in Lumpkin County Saturday was the result of a domestic disturbance. 

Investigators said Lumpkin County Sheriff Deputies arrived at a home on Bill Anderson Road to find 43-year-old Jason Burnette, 43, dead from a gunshot wound.

The GBI added once the investigation is complete results will be turned over to the Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office.

There has been no word on who actually did the shooting.
