The City of Clarkesville has lifted the Boil Water Advisory issued Wednesday morning for all affected areas except Timber Ridge subdivision.
The Advisory was issued after a major water main break near Clarkesville Elementary School.
The situation was complicated further when a contractor broke a water main again Thursday.
“Southern Pipeline has broken water main again on Hwy. 115,” an alert from the city issued Thursday morning reads.
The announcement that the Advisory is lifted for most customers came just before 9:15 a.m. Sunday.
Timber Ridge subdivision, where the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect, is located on Rennie Hames Road off Ga. 17 west of Clarkesville.
