Arris Group: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) _ Arris Group Inc. (ARRS) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $44.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Suwanee, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 76 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 82 cents per share.

The communications technology company posted revenue of $1.79 billion in the period.

Arris Group shares have risen nearly 4 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 27 percent in the last 12 months.
