Beazer: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot

ATLANTA (AP) _ Beazer Homes USA Inc. (BZH) on Monday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $7.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 23 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 13 cents per share.

The homebuilder posted revenue of $402 million in the period.

Beazer shares have climbed 38 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $13.04, a fall of 30 percent in the last 12 months.
