GBI announces arrest of second suspect in Baldwin home invasion

The second man charged in connection with an Oct. 13 home invasion in Baldwin is jailed in Habersham County.

Kevin Knox, 44, was arrested in Union County, S.C., on Nov. 5 charged with armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of elder abuse for his involvement in the crime, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

James Childers II, 38, of Union, S.C., also is charged in the crime. Childers was arrested in South Carolina for warrants charging armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of elder abuse, according to the GBI.

One of the two elderly victims was injured during the Oct. 13 incident.
