Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce awards annual Industry of the Year awards

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce recognized the 2019 Industry of the Year awards at an appreciation luncheon Wednesday in Gainesville.
 
Boost Transport LLC, The Harris Products Group, Boehringer Ingelheim, American Yazaki Corporation, Lasercraft Technologies, Inc. and Mincey Marble Manufacturing, Inc.
 
All were awarded either by employer size or for a specific recognition: workforce development, environmental and safety or corporate responsibility.
 
This is the 11th year for the annual awards. The awards focus on existing industry in the area.
 
In 2019, 14 new and expanded businesses are in Gainesville-Hall County, adding over 1,000 jobs and creating $292 million in capital investment, according to a report from the Gaiensville-Hall County Economic Development Council. The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce focuses on the importance of both new and existing industry in both Gainesville and Hall County.
