Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Buford man this week on charges related to an October incident at a bar and grill on GA 347/Lanier Islands Parkway.
Marcelo Henry Bump, 43, is charged with disorderly conduct, impersonating an officer and simple assault.
On Friday, October 25, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Deputies responded to a call at a bar and grill in the 4,900 block of Lanier Islands Parkway.
During the preliminary investigation, Deputies determined that Bump had been causing problems with employees and patrons at the establishment.
Deputies issued him a citation for criminal trespass and instructed him to leave the business.
After further investigation of the incident, Deputies determined that Bump had claimed to be a law enforcement officer and showed a badge of unknown type to patrons.
He also assaulted a female employee of the bar and grill by grabbing her arms and shoving her into a table while screaming at her.
She suffered minor injuries to a hand and arm during the incident. Deputies obtained warrants for Bump’s arrest on Tuesday, November 5, and he was taken into custody.
He was released from the Hall County Jail on Wednesday, November 6, after posting $10,500 bond. The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
