Man who rammed two patrol vehicles remains in Forsyth County jail without bond

A man who rammed two patrol vehicles during a chase in Forsyth County remains in jail without bond.

Sheriff's deputies said 24-year old Jeriam Dale Gravitt from Floyd County was traveling northbound on Bethel Road when he crossed the center line.

He allegedly sped away when they tried to stop him Friday night and struck the patrol vehicles as they were boxing him in to stop him on Browns Bridge Road, according to the AJC.

One of the law enforcement vehicles hit was a K-9 SUV.

Gravitt already had a felony violation of probation warrant and a superior court bench warrant before the incident.

He now faces additional charges including two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer, felony fleeing and attempting to elude, third-degree injury to a police animal, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain his lane.
