EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The Latest on President Donald Trump (all times local):

9:40 p.m.

A volunteer member of the advance team for President Donald Trump has blocked a photojournalist's camera as he tried to take a photo of a protester during a campaign rally in Indiana.

A photo taken by Associated Press photographer Evan Vucci on Thursday night in Evansville shows the volunteer stretching out his right hand over the lens of a news photographer's camera after a protester disrupted Trump's campaign event.

Trump paced on stage at the Ford Center during the moments it took for the protester to be led out.

The president was in town to stump for Republican Senate candidate Mike Braun, who is looking to unseat Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly in what is viewed as one of the nation's most competitive Senate races.

9 p.m.

President Donald Trump is urging Indiana Republicans to unseat Sen. Joe Donnelly, saying the vulnerable Democrat is "not going to vote for us on anything."

Trump appeared in Evansville on Thursday to boost support for wealthy Republican businessman Mike Braun, who is facing off against Donnelly in what is viewed as one of the nation's most competitive Senate races.

Before a wildly enthusiastic crowd, Trump called Braun a "special guy" and said he will "be a truly great senator." Braun took the stage and pledged to be a "true ally" to Trump, "not somebody that says something when you're in Indiana and does something differently when you're in D.C."

In a state the president carried by roughly 19 percentage points in 2016, both candidates have sought to stress their connections to Trump.

8:10 p.m.

President Donald Trump is once again threatening to intervene in the Justice Department if it fails to take the actions he's demanding.

Trump told thousands of supporters at a rally in Evansville, Indiana, on Thursday night that the leaders of the Justice Department and FBI "have to start doing their job and doing it right" because "people are angry."

He says if they don't, he "will get involved and I'll get in there if I have to."

Trump has a long-standing feud with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and has called on him to investigate former rival Hillary Clinton and others.

Some of the issues he's raised have either already been examined or are being investigated.

Trump has repeatedly threatened the Justice Department's traditional independence.

7:50 p.m.

President Donald Trump is giving Republican Senate candidate Mike Braun a boost as he campaigns by his side in Indiana.

Trump told a rally crowd of thousands in Evansville on Thursday that Braun is going to be a "truly great" senator.

"A vote for Mike Braun," he tells the crowd, is a vote "to Make America Great Again."

Braun is facing off with Democrat Joe Donnelly in what is viewed as one of the nation's most competitive Senate races.

Both candidates have stressed their ties to Trump, but Trump and Braun argue that Donnelly is not genuine.

Braun says Trump "needs a true ally" and "not somebody that says something when you're in Indiana and does something differently when you're in D.C."

Trump is predicting a win for Braun, telling the crowd, "We need the votes."

___

5:25 p.m.

President Donald Trump has arrived in Indiana, where he will rally Republicans on behalf of Senate candidate Mike Braun.

Braun is seeking to unseat Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly in what is viewed as one of the nation's most competitive Senate races.

Trump tweeted his support for the businessman earlier Thursday, saying he "is strong on Crime & Borders, the 2nd Amendment, and loves our Military & Vets."

Trump plans to spend more than 40 days on the campaign trail between the beginning of August and the Nov. 6 midterms as he hopes to best his predecessors' travel schedules. Before the rally, campaign manager Brad Parscale touted the "sellout crowd" expected.

President Donald Trump is making a midterm election push in Indiana on Thursday as Republicans seek to unseat vulnerable Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly.

Trump will hold a rally in Evansville, Indiana, on Thursday evening. Donnelly faces wealthy Republican businessman Mike Braun in what is viewed as one of the nation's most competitive Senate races.

The president tweeted Thursday that Braun is "a very successful businessman," adding that he "is strong on Crime & Borders, the 2nd Amendment, and loves our Military & Vets."

Trump plans to spend more than 40 days out campaigning between the beginning of August and the Nov. 6 midterms. Campaign manager Brad Parscale says in a statement that Trump "will fight harder than any candidate on the ballot over the next 67 days to get out the vote."
