(UPDATE) Soccer: Vikings, Falcons draw; Branch, North Hall, Lakeview girls and boys all win; Knights draw

FLOWERY BRANCH — The East Hall and Flowery Branch boys soccer teams battled to a 3-3 draw on Tuesday in Flowery Branch.

The No. 2-ranked Vikings (8-2-2) got two goals from Sergio Turcios and one from Freddy Rebollar to help keep things level.

Maury Ibarra, Jairo Valdez and David Menchaca provided one assist apiece for East Hall.

Oscar Rosas had 6 saves in goal on the night.

East Hall plays host to North Hall on Friday.

Flowery Branch plays host to Loganville on Thursday.


FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 10,
EAST HALL 0

The second-ranked Lady Falcons (13-0) romped to the win on Tuesday in Flowery Branch.

Caroline Wysocki scored five goals to lead the Branch's offensive assault, while Larsyn Reid added two strikes.

Anna Grady, Mckenzie Kent and Megan Shadbolt also scored one goal apiece.

Chela Aviles produced 8 saves in goal for the Lady Vikings (0-10-2)

East Hall plays host to North Hall on Friday.

Flowery Branch plays host to Loganville at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.


NORTH HALL GIRLS 3,
STEPHENS COUNTY 0

The Lady Trojans blanked the Lady Indians on Tuesday in Toccoa.

Myra Zimmerman bagged two goals, and Hailey Nobles scored once for North Hall.

Kadie Sullens and Alex Sayen combined for the shutout in goal.

North Hall travels to East Hall on Friday.


LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 9,
GEORGE WALTON ACADEMY 0

The Lady Lions dominated on Tuesday behind four goals from Meredith Tucker.

Maddy Towles also scored twice, and Maddy Child, Hannah Hicks and Jackie Allen also scored one goal apiece.

MadieGrace Blackburn and Lainie Ewers combined in goal for the shutout.


WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 3,
CHESTATEE 1

Kyleigh Drew scored the only goal of the game for the Lady War Eagles (5-6-1, 0-3 Region 7-4A) on Tuesday in Cleveland.

The Lady Warriors (6-5-2. 2-2) clinched a state playoff berth with the win.


JOHNSON BOYS 3,  
PEACHTREE RIDGE 3

The Knights battled to a draw on Tuesday in Suwanee.

Rigo Campa, Cole Bowen and Marco Vazquez each scored for Johnson, while Jose Gomez provided an assist.

The fifth-ranked Knights (8-2-2) play host to Cedar Shoals on Friday.

 

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 2,
GEORGE WALTON ACADEMY 1 OT

Bryce Kimball scored the winner in overtime to lead the Lions to the victory on senior night in Gainesville.

Arshaq Ali scored for Lakeview in the first half for a 1-0 lead off an assist by Daniel Bulos, but George Walton tied the match and sent it to overtime, where Bulos again provided the crucial assist for Kimball.

Heer Patel recorded the win in goal. 

The Lions (2-9, 1-2 Region 8-A) travel to Towns County at 7 p.m. Thursday.
