STATHAM — The Gainesville girls golf team shot a 281 on Saturday at the Athens Classic at The Georgia Club in Statham.
That score was good enough to earn the Lady Red Elephants an eighth place finish out of 20 participating teams.
Vivian Robinson led the Red Elephants with a 91, Morgan Nichol carded a 93 and Karina Collins added a 96.
Mill Creek High School won the event with a team total of 234 and Woodward Academy finish second scoring a 237.
