Soccer: Lakeview girls, East Hall boys win matches; Johnson falls in PKs to McIntosh

GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview Academy girls soccer team defeated East Hall 7-1 on Tuesday in Gainesville.

The Lady Lions' Meredith Tucker torched the Lady Vikings for five goals. Jackie Allen and Reece Johnson also scored one goal apiece.

Hannah Perkins, Olivia Robbins, Ellie Kate Madonna, and Maddy Towles each had assists for Lakeview (2-2). 

Alivia Myers scored the Lady Vikings (0-4-2) only goal.

Vivian Reed and Linda Andrade combined in goal to record five saves apiece.

East Hall travels to Union County on Friday for a 4 p.m. kickoff.

The Vikings (4-2) blanked the Lions (0-6) on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Sergio Turcios scored two goals and provided one assist in the win, while Joaxyl Andrade and Brandon Callahan each scored one goal.

Victor Murillo, Freddy Rebollar (2) and Carlos Pulido each produced assists for East Hall.

Oscar Rosas recorded one save in goal.

East Hall travels to Union County on Friday for a 6 p.m. kickoff. 


McINTOSH BOYS 2 (5-4 in PKs),
JOHNSON 2

The Knights fell to the Class 5A No. 1 Chiefs in penalty kicks on Tuesday. It was Johnson's second straight shootout loss after a similar outcome on Friday against rival Gainesville.

Rigo Campa scored both goals for Johnson, as the two foes battled to a 2-2 score through regulation before going into the shootout.

Johnson travels to Walnut Grove on Friday for its first Region 8-AAAAA contest of the season.
