The Johnson girls tennis team swept past county foe East Hall 5-0 on Tuesday.
Perla Rivera scored a 8-0 victory at No. 1 singles for the Lady Knights, while Anna Cooper held on for a 8-6 win at No. 2 singles. Morgan Langley also claimed a tiebreak victory, 8-8 (7-4), at No. 3 singles.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Isa Martinez/Haley Grimes won 8-5, and the No. 2 team of Viviana Medina/Samantha Allen won 8-4.

The Knights got a pair of singles wins to go with a sweep in the doubles to take the victory over the cross-county Vikings
Johnson got wins from Garrett McCarthy (8-7, pro-set), and Dalton Hooper (8-1, pro-set), while Bud Abercrombie took an early lead but lost 8-5 in a pro-set.
The Knights got doubles wins from Jackson Barkley and Noah Warren (8-5, pro-set) and AJ Buendia and Wyatt Abercrombie (8-3, pro-set).
Johnson next will travel to Winder-Barrow on Thursday.

The Red Elephants notched a Region 8-AAAAAA win on Tuesday night.
Dylan Pineda and Ben Burns won in singles for Gainesville. Meanwhile, the doubles teams of Max Wuest/Caleb Anderson and Michael Head/Charlie Burns also prevailed.
Gainesville tracels to face Dacula next Tuesday.

The Lady Red Elephants swept to the Region 8-AAAAAA win on Tuesday.
Ali Waggoner, Madi Kiser and Grace O’Keefe did not lose a single game in claiming singles victories for Gainesville, while doubles teams Paige Patterson/Hannah Williams and Hannah Wagner/Grayson Wagner won their matches in straight sets.

The Lady Trojans (1-1) prevailed at No. 3 singles and swept the doubles points to take the win on Turesday.
Christen Barnes nabbed the crucial singles point, 6-1, 6-1, for North Hall.
Meanwhile, the Lady Trojans' No. 1 doubles team of Lauren Davis/Baylee Turner won 6-0, 6-4, and the No. 2 team of Carsen Baumgardner/Raquel Kallab won 6-4, 6-2.
Anna Montgomery fell 0-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 1 singles and Sydney Patterson lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles
North Hall travels to North Forsyth on Monday at Central Park.

The Trojans' Christian Boychuk won 5-7, 7-5, 10-4 at No. 3 singles for North Hall's lone victory on Tuesday.
Masa Kobayashi lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Adam Turcotte lost 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Ethan Surles/Kody Dills fell 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 doubles. And Forrester Terry/Brant Moore lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
The Trojans (0-2) travel to face North Forsyth on Monday at Central Park.
