As part of planned improvements to the grounds and amenities, Desota Park in Gainesville was temporarily closed for the work beginning Tuesday.
Crews will make renovations to include replacement of tennis and basketball courts and fencing, according to Gainesville Parks and Recreation officials.
Workers will also make improvements to landscaping at the park.
Renovations should take 90-120 days to complete, according to Julie Butler Colombini, marketing/communications manager for the agency.
