UGA student accused of racial slurs

Investigators are looking into accusations that an UGA baseball player yelled racial slurs during the Tennessee-Georgia game this past weekend.

The Georgia News Network reports the slurs in question were supposedly aimed at UGA quarterback Justin Fields.

The AJC reports that students who were sitting nearby heard what was going on and confronted the baseball player.

They say the student dismissed the criticism and continued. But some of those students posted their experience on social media, which resulted in a lot of reaction and then an investigation by UGA athletic officials.

A lot of people have apparently been interviewed, but no action has been taken yet.

Officials aren't saying much about the investigaion either.
