Softball: North Hall edges East Hall late; Chestatee fights past White; Jefferson takes dual with Stephens

RABBITTOWN — The North Hall softball team grabbed a sixth-inning lead and refused to yield it in a 3-2 victory over East Hall on Tuesday.  

Camilla Howell doubled on the first pitch of her sixth-inning at-bat, scoring one run, to make the difference for the Lady Trojans.

Kendyl Chase was the winning pitcher for North Hall, pitching 7 innings, while allowing three hits and two runs. She also struck out nine Lady Vikings batters and walked one.

Hannah Payne led North Hall Lady Trojans Varsity with three hits in four at bats. Macy Clark also produced a double to right that put North Hall's first run on the board. 
 

CHESTATEE 6,
WHITE COUNTY 4

The Lady War Eagles' Bailey Mason feasted on Lady Warriors pitching, going 4 for 4 with a home run and two RBI to help Chestatee seal the win. Kala Sergeant also had an RBI for Chestatee. Hannah Jones, Katilyn Babb and Danielle Ortega also had hits in the win.

Elizabeth Eddins also played a key role in the pitching circle, going the full 7 innings while striking out 10 White County batters. She yielded four runs, three earned, on five hits.

Jessica Morgan produced two hits and two RBI, while Hanna Carder had two RBI and a hit for the Lady Warriors.

 

JEFFERSON 1,
STEPHENS COUNTY 0

The Lady Dragons edged a pitching dual on Tuesday, as Jefferson's Emily Perrin and Stephens County's Emma Whitfield battled throughout.

Perrin pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit while striking out 11 batters and yielding no walks. 

Whitfield, meanwhile, went 6 innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three and walking none.

A double by Mackenzie Rogers in the third inning was the only hit for Stephens County.

Emily Matthews led Jefferson with two hits in two at bats.
