Few details are immediately available about a boating incident on Lake Hartwell.
Contacted about it, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division spokesman Mark McKinnon said the incident itself happened in the South Carolina portion of the lake.
"Apparently, two people fell out of a boat in South Carolina," McKinnon said via email. "The boat was still under power and ran into Georgia, where one of our game wardens was able to get it stopped and returned to South Carolina."
One of the boat's occupants is unaccounted for, and South Carolina DNR is searching for that person.
"The search is actually on the South Carolina side of the lake," McKinnon said.
