White County wreck critically injures Cleveland woman

CLEVELAND — A two-vehicle wreck on Ga. 115 in the Leaf Community of White County Thursday night left a Cleveland woman seriously injured.

The wreck happened about 7 p.m. on Ga. 115 East at The Cottage House Restaurant, according to White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram.

Ingram said a 2001 Buick Century driven by Helen Adams of Cleveland failed to yield and pulled into the path of a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Angel Gaddis of Clarkesville.

Adams, a retired instructor and drama director at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, was seriously injured and was rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Ingram did not know the injuries of Gaddis.

Dean Dyer of WRWH Radio contributed to this report.
