A two-vehicle accident resulting in a diesel fuel leak caused Wednesday afternoon delays on the westbound side of Ga. 53/Dawsonville Highway near Harbour Point in Hall County.
The collision happened at roughly 1:00 p.m. and included a tractor trailer, according to Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett.
"Approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel leaked and was contained at the scene," Brackett wrote in an email. "Georgia DOT and GSP also worked the scene and assisted with mitigation.''
One person was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor injuries, according to Brackett.
The westbound lane was expected to open for traffic again around 3:50 p.m., Brackett said.
