CARNESVILLE — The death of two Franklin County residents Friday is being investigated as a probable murder/suicide, according to information released by Sheriff Steve Thomas.
In a statement, Thomas confirmed the deaths, saying the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents, and the GBI Crime Scene Unit are investigating the deaths of two individuals who were found in a residence.
The bodies have been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsies and the investigation continues.
“Our hearts go out to the families,” Thomas said.
No further details about those involved or the location have been released at this time.
