Shootout outside Georgia gas station leaves 1 man dead

By The Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) — A shootout outside a gas station in Atlanta's suburbs has left one man dead.

News outlets report that DeKalb County police are searching for the gunman in the Tuesday night shooting at a Chevron gas station parking lot. Police Lt. Lonzy Robertson says an argument between the victim and the shooter escalated into a physical altercation and led to an exchange of gunfire.

Robertson says a third person began firing at the suspect as he fled. It's unknown if the suspect was injured.

Police have not identified anyone involved or what caused the dispute.
