Baldwin issues Boil Water Advisory for customers in Banks County

The City of Baldwin has issued a Boil Water Advisory after a water main break on Ga. 105 in Banks County.

That break, in the 900 block of Ga. 105, resulted in the loss of required pressure so customers who experienced a water service outage or low water pressure should boil their water for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.

Water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.

Customers in the Ga. 105 and Harmony Church Road area, as well as any others who experienced outage or low pressure, should continue to boil their water until they are notified that the water system has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.

Anyone with questions may call the Baldwin Water Department at (706) 778-6341.
