Center Point plans to open a new campus in south Hall County later this month.
The new campus is in Flowery Branch, at 3584 Atlanta Highway, said Executive Director David Smith.
"We're going to start with our counseling services, because there's a need for counseling services in south Hall. The schools and all have said that's a great need," said Smith. "We'll be adding our other programs - the mentoring, prevention and education programs - over the next two years. Everything that's here in the Gainesville center will be replicated in the South Hall center."
Smith said the new campus underwent final inspection Wednesday and so far, things look good.
"It's now just a matter of getting the furniture, getting all the computers, copiers, all that kind of stuff in place and functioning. We're planning to open the doors on March 14," said Smith.
Smith said there will be an official grand opening as well on April 12.
The expansion was made possible by the Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament, which allowed the organization to purchase the property, as well as donations from local businesses and community members.
