FBI: Jewelry store robberies in FL, SC could be linked to Dawsonville robbery

PANAMA CITY, FL—Authorities believe a jewelry store robbery in Panama City Beach, Florida could have connections to a similar robbery that happened in Dawsonville.

According to a press release, the robbery happened August 11 when a 5'8", 130-pound woman in her 20s flashed a handgun in the Reeds Jewelers in Panama City Beach, Fla. Surveillance video showed the suspects in the act. She tied up the two store employees with zip ties while a black male in his late 30s or early 40s, approximately 6' tall and 250 pounds, shut the front door and locked it.

The pair then stole jewelry from the display cases. Employees say the couple had been in the store the day before asking about the very items they stole.

The duo fled in what authorities believe to be a 2009/2010 Honda Civic LX with tinted windows.

The suspects are also thought to be responsible for three other robberies, one at the Zale's in Dawsonville on August 5 and Jared Jewelry locations in Woodstock on April 28 and Bluffton, South Carolina on September 2.

The robbers are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about them is asked to contact the FBI.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest.
