GAINESVILLE - Hall County Fire Services has promoted Captain Christie Grice to Battilion Chief of Business Services, the first promotion of a female to a Chief Officer position in the department's history.
Battalion Chief Grice has served the county since July 1998. In October 1998, she became an Emergency Medical Technician. In 2000, she obtained her paramedic certification.
In 2004, Grice was promoted to Lieutenant in the Training Division, and she was promoted to Captain as the department's EMS Coordinator in February 2014.
“Battalion Chief Grice is a true professional who will be an asset to the department and Hall County for years to come in her new role. She brings a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience to the administrative division," said Chief Jeff Hood
