Hall sheriff's deputy going for 'tire flipping' world record to benefit Ga. Sheriffs' Youth Homes

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office will be "Flippin' for the Children of the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes" Dec. 13.<br /> <br /> World Record holder and the current tire flipping champ, Sgt. Greg Cochran, a deputy with the department, will be attempting to top his record setting feat of 2010 at this event in the Lowe's parking lot on Shallowford Road in Gainesville. The event begins at 10:00 with the "flipping" expected shortly after that, according to a sheriff's office spokesman.<br /> <br /> In addition, there will be a "Meet and Eat" at the Texas Roadhouse of Gainesville on Monday, Dec. 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The proceeds from dinner sales at that time will benefit the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes. The Texas Roadhouse will also set up shop at Sergeant Cochran's world record attempt,selling their "Fall off the Bones" rib plates for $14.00 each (with proceeds from the sales benefiting the<br /> Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes).<br /> <br /> Also, the sheriff's office will be drawing for winners of three "Christmas Stocking Stuffer Baskets." <br /> <br /> For more information on the tire flipping world record attempt, please contact Deputy Chad Mann at (678)780-8322.
