Nicholson man charged with aggravated stalking

JEFFERSON - Jackson County authorities have charged a man with aggravated stalking, false imprisonment and reckless conduct after a domestic violence dispute last week.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a domestic violence dispute on August 1, after a witness observed a vehicle driven by a male and with a passenger female driving recklessly. Another witness told authorities the female passenger screamed for the driver to let go of her.

24 year old Grayson Trace Newsome of Nicholson was detained for an outstanding warrant after the Banks County Sheriff's Office made contact with the vehicle.

Further investigation and witness statements led to the charges of aggravated stalking, false imprisonment and reckless conduct.

Newsome is currently incarcerated in the Jackson County Detention Center/Jail without a Bond.
