LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Police in Gwinnett County say a woman traveling with her family was killed when a tractor-trailer truck clipped her SUV and left the scene.
Police later located the truck driver who went on to make a delivery in Cobb County. They think he may not have realized he hit the SUV, and the collision remains under investigation. The woman killed in the crash has been identified as 34-year-old Rabia Adnan, of Duluth.
The collision occurred about 1:20 p.m. Monday on Interstate 85. Police said the tractor-trailer truck was changing lanes when it clipped the SUV. The SUV went up an embankment and flipped several times.
Two children were injured, but police said their injuries did not appear life-threatening.
