Hawks call off practice; Falcons plans unchanged

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA -- A large storm that left several inches of snow in the Atlanta area forced the Atlanta Hawks to call off practice on Monday and threatened the status of the team's scheduled game against Milwaukee on Tuesday night.

Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche said the Bucks arrived in Atlanta on Monday. He said Tuesday night's game still rests on the condition of Atlanta's roads.

The Hawks plans to have a light practice on Tuesday morning.

The Atlanta Falcons, who will face the Green Bay Packers in the NFL playoffs on Saturday night, had all but two players present for Monday's practice in their indoor facility in Flowery Branch. Coach Mike Smith wouldn't identify the two players he said were blocked by closed roads.
