SunTrust executive to head Zoo Atlanta

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA - An executive at SunTrust Bank has been named as the new president and CEO of Zoo Atlanta.

Raymond King served most recently as SunTrust's senior vice president of community affairs. Zoo officials said Thursday he'll start work at the zoo on June 1.

The 44-year-old King replaces Dennis Kelly, who left earlier this year to head the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C.

King is a lifelong Atlanta resident who attended Georgia Tech.

King says he wants to increase attendance and raise more money locally for the zoo.
