ATHENS -- Trey Thompkins and Corey Butler hit five 3-pointers apiece to lead Georgia to a 98-68 win over North Carolina A&T on Sunday.
Thompkins finished with 22 points for the Bulldogs - 18 in the first half - and Butler scored 19.
Georgia (8-4) was 17-for-35 on 3-pointers, one short of the school record of 18 set against Fresno State on March 26, 1998. Thompkins was 5-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Dwane Joshua led North Carolina A&T (5-7) with 17 points and Robert Johnson scored 15.
Georgia unleashed a barrage of 3-pointers in the first half, hitting a season-high 10 before intermission in building a 51-27 halftime lead.
Georgia bolted out to a 13-4 lead with 15:41 to go in the first half when Zac Swansey hit the team's third straight 3-pointer.
The Aggies cut the gap to 24-19 with 9:24 to go in the half, but the Bulldogs went on a 17-2 run.
