Suspended Hokies tailback enters plea, avoids jail

By
CHRISTIANSBURG, VIRGINIA - Suspended Virginia Tech tailback Mike Imoh on Wednesday accepted the same agreement as quarterback Marcus Vick and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from a night of drinking with underage girls.

Imoh, 20, avoided jail by doing so. His sentence consisted of a $100 fine and 24 hours of community service. Defense lawyer Christopher Tuck did not return a call to his cell phone seeking comment.

Vick and Tech receiver Brenden Hill also accepted plea agreements in separate hearings on Monday and Friday instead of appealing their juvenile court convictions and jail sentences on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The players were arrested after a late night party with 14- and 15-year-old girls at Vick's apartment in Blacksburg. During their trial, one teen testified that the players gave them vodka and asked the girls to strip and kiss each other.

Vick was suspended for the entire football season. Imoh and Hill were both given three-game suspensions.
